Hemblington is a small village 7 miles to the East of Norwich. It is close to the city, coast and the Broads.
The village provides many of the 154 children on the school roll, and we also attract children from the surrounding villages and outskirts of Norwich.
The original Victorian school has been extended and altered several times.
There are seven classes to accommodate children from Year R to Year 6 in single age classes. Hemblington Primary School is part of Broad Horizons Education Trust. The school has a library, a school hall, several small intervention support rooms, a music room, a computer suite, a large field and running track, an outside gym area and trim trail, and a peaceful environmental garden with a pond and bird-hide.
The teaching staff are well established and very experienced – we are a family orientated school and all children are treated as individuals.
The parents of the school are very supportive and give generously of their time helping in school on a regular basis as well as raising funds for the benefit of the pupils through an active ‘Friends’ association.
Should you be looking for a school place for your child, please contact the office (Tel: 01603 713243 or Email: office-hp@yare-edu.org.uk) to discuss the availability of places with the headteacher or ask any questions.
Visits to the school are always welcome; please ring the office to make an appointment.
